Team & Security

The teammate who left on Friday can’t read Monday’s inbox.

What it is

Settings shows every device your account is signed in on — “Chrome · Mac”, when it signed in, which one you’re reading this on. Sign any of them out individually, or sweep with “Sign out everywhere else.” Revocation is immediate, not eventual: a signed-out device’s very next action is refused. No waiting for a token to quietly expire.

Owners and admins get the team-sized version: sign any teammate out of every device, straight from the Team screen. Offboarding is deliberately soft — Deactivate revokes access instantly across every session while keeping everything the person worked on; their open conversations and tickets transfer to a teammate in one move, and Reactivate brings them back whenever. Three roles (owner, admin, agent), password resets from the Team screen, and every one of these actions — sign-outs included — lands in the workspace audit trail.

How you’d use it

Offboarding day

A teammate moves on: Deactivate, transfer their open threads, done in under a minute. Access is dead on every device they ever signed in from, and the history stays intact for whoever inherits their conversations.

The hotel-lobby computer

You answered three chats from a borrowed machine and forgot to sign out. Back home, that session is one row in Settings — sign out just that device without touching your own.

Agency

Seasonal contractors get deactivated between engagements and reactivated for the next launch — no re-onboarding, no lingering access through the quiet months.

The one who gets asked

“Who removed Priya, and when?” is a thirty-second lookup in the audit trail, not an archaeology dig through your team chat.

Get more out of it

  1. Audit your devices after you travel

The list makes it a ten-second habit: anything you don’t recognize — or do recognize and regret — gets signed out individually, right there.

  2. Deactivate, don’t delete

Deactivation is the security event — access dies immediately, everywhere. The work, the history, and the option to bring the person back all survive it.

  3. Transfer before the farewell message

The Transfer panel moves a teammate’s open conversations and tickets in one action. Do it at deactivation time and no customer thread is ever orphaned mid-promise.

  4. Pair password resets with a sweep

Reset a teammate’s password from the Team screen, then sign out their devices too — the new password is only as useful as the old sessions are dead.

  5. Read the trail occasionally

Role changes, deactivations, sign-outs — it’s all recorded with who and when. A five-minute skim each month is cheap insurance, and the answer to most “wait, who did that?” questions.

Lock the doors without losing the work.

Your workspace takes about a minute to create — no sales call, no credit card.
