Hosted Help Center
Write an answer once. It resolves conversations forever — on your site, in your widget, and through your AI.
What it is
Every article you publish appears on a public help site — hosted by Iris, indexable by search engines, refreshed within five minutes of publishing. Point one CNAME and the whole site runs on help.yourdomain.com under your name.
The same articles are your AI Agent’s entire knowledge. Publishing an article and teaching the AI are one action, not two systems to keep in sync.
Already have a help center? Point Iris at Intercom or Zendesk with your own API credentials and your articles arrive as drafts — categories preserved, headings, lists, links and images carried over — for you to review and publish in an afternoon. And if your customers read in more than one language, add languages to the site: the editor grows a tab per language, the public site gets a switcher, and an article you haven’t translated yet shows in your default language instead of disappearing.
How you’d use it
D2C brand
Your shipping, returns and sizing pages rank for “your-brand returns” searches — customers self-serve from Google before they ever open a chat, and the ones who do chat get the same answer from the AI.
Course creator
Publish “how to access your course”, “certificates” and “refund policy” once. The widget’s help search answers from those articles inside the chat bubble — students get help without leaving your site.
SaaS team
Engineering writes the how-to once. The article closes chats through the AI, closes search traffic through the public site, and gives agents a link to paste instead of retyping the explanation.
Brand-conscious business
One CNAME puts the entire site on help.yourdomain.com with your title and description — your customers never learn what software runs it.
Get more out of it
Start from your inbox, not a blank page
Your last month of conversations is the table of contents. Write the answers you’ve already typed three times — those are the articles that pay for themselves immediately.
Question-shaped titles win twice
Titles like “Can I change my delivery address?” match what customers type into the widget and what they type into Google. Statements like “Delivery options” match neither.
Publish is the sync
There’s no re-training step and no import. The AI can use an article the moment you publish it; the public site refreshes within five minutes.
Draft without fear
Drafts are invisible to the site and the AI — only published articles answer customers. Keep half-written answers as drafts and polish them when the next quiet hour arrives.
Let Insights write your backlog
The knowledge-gap list queues real questions the AI couldn’t answer, ranked by frequency, with a Write-article button that prefills the title. Your roadmap is already written — by your customers.
Import first, prune second
The importer lands everything as drafts on purpose: a published article is instantly live on your site and in your AI’s knowledge, and three years of accumulated helpdesk articles deserve a read before they become ground truth. Preview shows what’s coming; publish in passes, best articles first.
Write the answer once.
Your workspace takes about a minute to create — no sales call, no credit card.
