What it is
The Library of Appearances is per-agent personalization for the Iris inbox. Two curated libraries — 100 dark rooms and 100 light rooms — organized in twenty themed shelves (Night skies, Gemstones, Papers, Gardens, Coast…), where every card in the picker is a live miniature inbox rendered in that room’s real palette. On top of the room, three more axes compose: a material (eight form languages, from frosted Glass to monospace Terminal to the print-rules Ink), a desk (four desktop layouts — Classic three panes, Focus, the wide Broadsheet, the centered Stage), a scene (five slow ambient layers — aurora, starfield, digital rain, scanline, breathing light — that pause when the tab is hidden and sit out on phones), a navigation style (the dock as Classic, Floating, Ghost or Compact — on desktop and the mobile tab bar), and comfort controls for spacing and type size. A shelf of Living rooms bundles the best combinations — room, material and scene in one tap. When the library isn’t enough, mix your own: pick a dark or light family plus two colors — Walls and Accent — and a color engine derives the rest (text contrast, borders, bubbles, shadows), with a Shuffle button for tasteful random combos. And for owners and admins there’s Brand Studio: Iris reads your uploaded logo and your public website and returns three room candidates designed for your brand, named in its voice — tap one to wear it. Every choice is yours alone (teammates never see it), and it follows you to any device you sign in from.

D2C brand
Open Brand Studio, and the inbox comes back wearing your store: three rooms derived from your logo’s palette and your site’s colors, named like they shipped with your brand book. The tool your team answers customers from stops looking like someone else’s software.
Agency using whitelabel
Your account managers hop between five client workspaces a day. Give each workspace its own room — one glance at the wall color and you know whose queue you’re in, before you read a single conversation. The login page wears each client’s logo too.
Night-shift agent
The 2 a.m. queue is easier in a room built for it: something from the Night skies shelf, Compact spacing, maybe the Terminal material. Your teammate on the morning shift opens the same workspace in a paper-white room — appearance is per-agent, so nobody argues about dark mode again.
Solo founder
You’re in this inbox between everything else you do. Two minutes in the picker — a room that matches your desk, Large reading, the Focus desk that hides the contact panel — and support stops feeling like a chore in a rented interface.

Let Brand Studio go first
Before you browse 200 rooms, tap “Design from my brand” in the Custom tab. Iris reads your logo’s palette and your public website (title, tone, colors, fonts) and returns three designed candidates — one tap to wear. It’s the fastest route from “default gray” to “ours”.
Search by mood, not just name
The search box spans both libraries and matches names, one-liners and shelf names — try “rain”, “paper”, “neon”, or a color. Finding a light room while you’re browsing the dark library is the point.
Compose the three axes
Rooms set the color, materials set the form, desks set the arrangement — they multiply. The same Sapphire room reads completely different under Glass than under Ink; Broadsheet turns any room into a triage floor. Try one change per day for a week before settling.
Tune Space and Reading for long shifts
Compact fits more conversations on screen for heavy triage days; Large type is kinder at hour six. The picker shows a live sample row as you switch, so you see the difference before you commit.
Shuffle when you’re stuck
The Custom tab’s Shuffle button generates tasteful random Walls + Accent combos through the same color engine that built the library — contrast and legibility are derived, so even a wild roll stays readable. Keep rolling until one feels like home.
